Canto Rodado
texto / text

Canto rodado- Paintings and Objects Series
Cobbles, pebbles that recall the Fivestones game ("dinenti" or "payana" in spanish) – the children's diversion that refers to this life's stage and the experiences that followed me around it. They appear as the energy of life, infancy and playfulness, of contemplating the possible nearby objects, tempting both certainty and chance. I try to escalate this up to the macro in a complex social context, in which the ability of pretending to regain these simple ludic ways could help us to de-alienate from the imperative of possessing. Likewise, it is an attempt for the social reconquering of stages of joy. I assume, however, a slightly nostalgic view, as a failed attempt of recovering some part of what was lost.
